How to cancel premium subscriptions of LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is the prime professional social network for professionals today.

Across an array of industries, it has helped many get connected and be on the right track.

It has helped many lands more than just a good job; it has helped recruiters get the needed talent, helped companies catch top-notch B2B leads and helped many seek the best career advice.

Though LinkedIn’s premium subscriptions have their perks, a lot of users become aware of this realize how this can go out of hand and how their LinkedIn accounts could face the hack and face exploitations from suspected hackers.

Those who wish to opt-out of the professional networking site’s premium features can have a look at ways to cancel LinkedIn subscription:

  • Users must first click on the Me icon at the top of their LinkedIn page.
  • They can then click on Premium Subscription settings.
  • Under the manage premium account on the right, users should right-click on cancel submission.
  • Then, they should click on continue to cancel.
  • They should then choose (or write) a reason for canceling, and then click on confirm cancellation.
  • They should then click on done and then they will be taken back to their profile’s page.

Canceling subscription through Android devices

If users are on mobile, things are then a bit different.

Android users have no way at the moment to cancel LinkedIn Premium via an Android device. They must do it through a desktop.

Canceling LinkedIn premium through iOS devices

Those who are having/using iOS devices, they will need the iTunes app on their device to aid in canceling the subscription.

If users have purchased it through their iOS device, the iTunes app is responsible for the transaction instead of the LinkedIn app.

Here is how it’s done.

For iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch users:

  • Head over to settings in the manner of Settings > Your Name > iTunes & App Store.
  • Then users must tap on their Apple ID.
  • Tap on ‘View Apple ID’ and then users must authenticate their Apple ID if necessary.
  • Then users must tap on ‘Subscriptions’ and choose the subscription they would love to manage.
  • Under the options managing their subscription, users must tap on cancel subscription.

For Mac/PC users

Here is what Mac/PC users should do:

  • Open the iTunes software.
  • Then users must sign in with their Apple ID.
  • Then users must use the menu bar at the top to navigate to Account and then view my account sub-menu.
  • Then they must authenticate their Apple ID (if necessary).
  • Then users should look for the ‘settings’ section, and then click on ‘manage’ to the right side of ‘subscriptions.’
  • They should then find the LinkedIn subscription and then click on ‘Edit.’
  • Then they should click on ‘Cancel Subscription.’

For 4th Generation Apple TV/ Apple TV 4K users

Here is what they should do:

  • First, they must open ‘Settings’ and then select ‘Accounts.’
  • Under ‘subscriptions’, they should choose ‘manage subscriptions.’
  • They should then choose the LinkedIn subscription option and then click on the ‘Cancel Subscription’ option.
