QuickBooks Pro 2020: what’s new and improved features in it.

In the previous version, QuickBooks Pro 2019 provides the facility including Check to bill pay, Invoice Status Tracker, Transfer credits, accessibility enhancements and saving of valuable time. But, QuickBooks Pro 2020 includes more helpful features that are available for the clients and also, it is very easy to upgrade. This version comes with additional features that are not supported by the previous versions.

QuickBooks Pro 2020 includes various new and improved features which provide easiness to the users that are:

  • Automatic payment reminders:

This update will help the customers to make faster payments. You may even separate the clients by creating various kinds of mailing lists as per the categories of clients. Firstly, you have to create the list and then, add customers to the list in the Manage mailing list option according to your defined category. After completion of this process, you can simply send payment reminders to the customer and also helpful to remind the customers for their payments by creating mails.

How to access: 

  1. You can access it by visiting the Menu Bar.

2 Select Customers in the Menu bar and then go to the payment reminders.

  • Automatically Add PO number of customer:

        This update provides the facility of making changes in the email template for customer invoices. Automatically adding PO number as the first thing in email invoices makes life easier. The customer purchase order number is put in the subject line. Quickbooks send email invoices to the customers that facilitate faster payments which includes accuracy and reliability by the customer.

How to access:

You can access it by visiting the Menu bar

1.Select Edit,

 After choosing Edit, go to the preferences and then choose the Send Forms. The next step is to choose the option Company preferences.

2. Select the template which you want, and click Edit from the Insert Field button and go to the option Customer PO.

  • Multiple Emails are combined in one (including job, vendor, Employees):

This feature provides a facility for sending multiple invoices into a single email. It provides help in extending better services to the customer. It provides ease because the customer doesn’t need to download multiple attachments i.e time-consuming. This process saves time. QuickBooks users only need to download one email and multiple invoices are attached in it.

How to access:

  1. Go to the Menu Bar and then select File, 

     2. In File, go to the option Send Forms and select the box  “Combine forms to a recipient in one email”

  • Advanced Smart Help:

QuickBooks provides an enhancement in smart help. In this update, by simply pressing the F1 user gets more advanced help content and also the search experience. This feature increases the flexibility of help via searchable content. In other words, we say can that, by using this feature within the software, users are directly visited the intuit help content.

How to access:

To access this feature, QuickBooks users simply press the F1 key on a Windows Keyboard

  1. Open the QuickBooks File from the Menu Bar.
  2. Go to the help option and choose it by clicking on to the QuickBooks desktop Help option.
  • Easy to reset admin password:

In the previous versions, QuickBooks users faced problems in resetting the admin password. In this update of QuickBooks, the problem of resetting admin passwords is simplified. This update in QuickBooks makes the process of resetting admin passwords very simple and easy. Even, the user is not required to fill all the information to prove the ownership. Users only need to pick up the email id and then OTP is provided. After getting the OTP, the user only needs to do is to reset the password through the allotted OTP. This whole process will help the user to prove the ownership.

How to access:

  1. Go to the option I forgot my password.
  2. Select the email id in the drop-down list and then click Next.
  3. Users will receive the OTP through the mail, then reset the password.

Note: Because of any reason, if the email id in the drop-down list is not found by the user, the user needs to follow the on-screen prompts.

  1. After that, Go to the OTP.
  • Ease in Company File Search:

Easy to find the location and open the company files with the help of the File Search option in No Company Open Window. Searching for company files can be processed in a very short period of time. The search bar to list the key information also provides help in finding or identifying the correct company file. 

How to access:

  • Horizontally collapse columns:

This update is providing the facility of hiding and unhiding the various multiple data columns. Users of QuickBooks are required to avoid exporting lengthy reports to excel. And, the purpose is to customize the columns which are to be displayed.

How to access:

Displayed reports can contain multiple columns.

  1. Go to the collapse column button which is placed on the top right of displayed multiple column reports.
  2.  Users can click either (-) or (+) symbols. (i.e. optional)
  3. It includes the two properties to a specified column i.e. collapse and expand.

It is to conclude that QuickBooks Pro 2020 has more additional and effective features compared to the previous versions. All these features are well suited for the growth of our business. The updated version is more helpful to the users because in the update version users get payment reminders.
